Asia sat in her cage, rather calm about the whole thing. Her vixen ears flicked on top of her head while she watched a white coat bring in a newborn for testing. Her heart pulled a little, but not much. Her ears went back as another white coat walked to the cage beside hers. She gave a small wave to her friend beside her and watched as she was taken away, struggling. Why was she the only one that was calm? Probably because she was the only one who picked up that they killed all experiments that were too much to handle. She couldn't care less.
They'd been testing her for a couple years now and Asia got to watch new babies come in to be tested. It hurt to watch but she always comforted them after. She got tested many times, but now she was emotionless with a heavy heart. Almost all of her Camp Demigod friends had been forgotten over the years and the whispers from her deceased elder brother disappeared as well.
The years had been kind to her appearance and had rid her of the little acne she had on her cheeks along with the rest of her baby fat, gaining her an unrecognizable appearance. Her hair was still blue and long, her skin tone paler than ever, her personality had dulled into nothing but a blank sheet of canvas. Asia had gained the ability to retract her ears and tail through the testing, but she hardly ever does it because she wants to remember who she was and who she still is.
The only real memory from Camp she had was of another mutant, but she couldn't remember his name. Every time she thought of him she felt a small spark of hope but she could hardly remember what he looked like. Asia sighed and scratched the metal with her knife to add to the number of days she had been in the cage. She gazed on the numbers, counting the tally marks and wondering how long she would have to stay in the lab.
