The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
Rebellion sang quietly, whilst she sat amongst the shadows. Her arms were wrapped tightly around her knees, holding them close to her while tears streamed down her cheeks. Her mom was gone, her brother didn't seem to care about her anymore, she knew absolutely no one, her hellcat was always with her brother, and she had no one to cry to. She knew that her brother did love her but he never hung around her. She buried her head in her knees and cried quietly. Her red hair fell over her shoulders as they heaved with each sharp intake of breath she took.
"Rebellion? Are you alright?" a small voice asked.
"Go away whoever the hell you are! I don't want any part of anything!" she said.
A strong pair of arms pulled her into a hug, but she continued sobbing. She knew people were staring but, why should she care? She lost the only one who took care of her. Rebellion buried her head into her brother's chest as he held her close to him.
"It's alright, Reb. I know it's hard but you need to be strong." Jake whispered into her ear.
Rebellion held onto him, not wanting to let go. The familiar beating of paws on the soft ground caused Rebellion to lift her head, looking towards the beautiful hellcat. The hellcat, Devil, pounced on Rebellion and licked her tears away. Rebellion couldn't help but smile at her caring action. She hugged Devil gently before wiping the rest of her tears away. She looked to where Jake had previously been sitting only to find him gone... Again.
I walk alone...
((If you don't know the song, shame on you.
