Darcy sighed, she was sitting at the fire, her legs crossed casually. She was wearing a pair of shoes that were falling apart, but they were simple and quick to slip on so they worked for her, her jeans, which were grass stained, not that she minded, a much-to-big-for-her jacket whom actually belonged to her boyfriend, but you know human nature. her jacket being zipped hid her long sleeved shirt, and that hid a t-shirt under it. A red and yellow striped scarf was around her neck, and matching fingerless gloves on her hands. The wind bit at her exposed skin (the face, and fingers.) Her face was sporting a not so happy look. And she shivered the the wind. The girl was always cold. but this had been an unusually cold fall to begin with. She wanted new friends, but her awkwardness kept her from that.

Jacob was one to wonder when his mind felt walled in. It was as if when he couldn't think straight, when he found those blank spots that more than usually cropped up in his memory, once he got out, he completely forgot about it all, didn't worry about it anymore. Even with the current cold weather, he was walking around, his mind as cloudy as ever. No matter how much his feet protested he walk another inch whilst his toes attempted to fail off. He was wearing a simple tee and jeans, nothing special, but nothing exactly suitable for the weather today. Jake couldn't understand what he was still doing here, but for some reason, in the back of his mind, a voice screamed it was important, and even if he still didn't believe in all this Greek nonsense, that voice held him here. And then there was the predicament of his so called twin sister. He knew there was something there, but he couldn't place his finger on it. But then again, that was why he was out here, in the cold, wasn't it? With a sigh, he finally did something about his currently frozen limbs and went to sit at the fire, taking a seat farthest away from most people, yet it seemed no matter where he went, someone was there. Right now, it was girl wearing an greatly over-sized jacket.
He could feel his body re-heating, as if starting up again, thanks to the fire. Cupping his hand over his mouth, he heaved a lung piercing breath and exhaled the warm outcome to heat his numb fingers. Stupid cold air.

Darcy saw him sit down, and glanced at him, she felt bad for him, but in an apathetic way. She was freezing in all her layers, she bet he was probably 10 times colder. however, she was not one to speak out, even if so so direly wanted to ask him if he needed a jacket, so instead, she wound up staring, her eyes, were a reflection of the fire, like her mothers, gentle, yet, Darcy's eyes had a tendency to appear frightened, insecure by design.

Jacob tensed instantly at the feel of eyes upon him, however, completely unaware of his body heat levels. He hated being watched, because for some reason, that's all he could remember being. Something you had to constantly watch, because he could snap at any time. Of course, that wasn't the case with him, but he couldn't shake off that feeling that it should be. That how calm he was just wasn't... Natural. At least not for him. But instead of doing what his gut was alarming him to do, he just continued blowing into his frosty fingers, trying to ignore the glare of eyes from the person adjacent him. There was not a feature in his face that acknowledged he was a son of Iris, thought the boy didn't know himself who his mother was, he knew there was supposed to be at least something indicating who his mom actually was, which was another reason he didn't believe in this mythology crap. And then he heard it, a question directed straight at him, but it was as if inside his head. That had been happening lately, mostly it had been "What are you looking at?". Now? Now it was a question asking if he needed a jacket. He had related his mind to an inbox the other day, and now all his joking about it was erased. There was no doubt, he was either reading minds, or some kids around here were sending questions from theirs. Immediately, he answered back, unsure if the person could actually hear him. "No. I'm not cold." ( ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I hope you don't mind that little quirk he has. I have it put down as one of his powers on his bio; Walking, Talking Cellphone dude lol.)

((I don't at all.))
Holy F*ck was the first thing that came to mind, she thought she hadn't ask, although to the girl it just made common sense that she must have, she did not know anything about this boy or the extent of his powers, or whom his parent was. However, she felt bad now, and her eyes met the ground "I-i-i'm s-s-sorry for a-a-asking" she replied, in her usual stutter. She stuttered when she was uncomfortable in a situation, like this one. her eyes met the ground Why'd i say that! she shouted at herself, her flame colored eyes still against the ground.

Jake raised his eyebrows at the girl beside him spoke up, while not exactly talking. In fact, as a cuss word ran out her mouth, her lips didn't even move. Which startled Jacob quite a lot, in fact, he almost fell backwards, no exaggeration needed. But he decided to play it cool, or as cool as it got with Jacob Montgomery. "It's alright." He rolled his eyes at her while he pulled his hands away from his mouth, which had been providing heat for them not to ice over and break off. "Not like it's illegal to ask a question." And he went straight back to warming himself up. Okay, so maybe he was cold. But he didn't need a jacket from some stranger. His head felt like it was splitting open when the girl yelled, like he had the volume on a speaker up too loud and in half a second, he's hands were on his ears, though changing nothing. His eyes turned to slits and he glared at the girl. "What was that for?! And how would I know?!" He said just over his normal voice, exasperatedly.

"G-g-gods i-i-i'm so-sorry." Darcy replied her tone normal, "I-i J-j-u-just." she stopped herself from saying anything else, not knowing what to do in fact; she was doing all she could not to burst out in tears. Even though nothing much had happened; it was just her insecure nature. Eyes not looking up at him, she tugged at the ends of her scarf, not tightening it, no, it was just something she did for comfort. Why do i keep speaking when i don't mean to she thought. in her mind she was just some sort of screw up. she had in inferiority complex, and it almost controlled her life.
