Amila sat on the window seat with her sketchbook resting on he lap. She hadn't left her room for about a week. She had been sick the entire time, and she didn't want anyone else to get sick. Zak was the only friend that she had that couldn't get sick, so he was the one that brought her food and talked to her. In the week she had been sick, she had filled fourteen sketchbooks with drawings of her friends and nature. The only person she hadn't drawn a picture of was Jake, but only because she had enough drawings on him in the rest of her sketchbooks. There was nothing left in her mind to draw. So she sat in her room, on her window seat, staring out her window, with a sketchbook laying on her lap. She had too much of a headache to listen to music like she normally would.
Amila heard someone knock on her door and she mimicked the knock louder on the wall next to her, since she couldn't talk well. Zak walked into the room, "Hey, Ami," he said and handed her a bag of food. Amila smiled and took the food. "I brought you some more pictures of...Well...Everything." He handed her the pictures.
Amila smiled and took the pictures. She quickly looked through them and chose the ones that she wanted to draw.
"And..." Zak looked through his back-pack, and pulled out some notes. "Notes from everyone."
Amila set her stuff down and hugged him. "Thank you, Zak." she whispered in her raspy voice.
"You're welcome." Zak replied and let her go.
Amila put some of the pictures on her picture wall and laid on her bed. She just stared at the ceiling and yawned. Zak put a blanket over her and walked out of the room. Ami quickly fell asleep after he left the room.
