When the darkness fell on top of everyone, Darken got thrown out of the shadow when one of the guys hit her and threw her back on the ground. She let out an audible groan when she hit the ground, pain sinking into her muscles. Then, she watched the boy run off again and she smiled a little, relieved that he got away. Pushing herself up a little, she surveyed the scene before her and, realizing that their other friends would think it was her doing, hastily scrambled to her feet. She took off in the same direction as the other boy, wanting to thank him and find out if he was alright.

The boy found his tree and crawled into the hollowed out base of the tree. He sat in there and held himself, trying not to cry from the scene before him. He didn't like the feeling of his instinct coming over him like that, and finding some guys below his feet, in a heap of blood. The boy didn't like that scene, at all. Nobody could convince him to like it in his life unless he was mind washed in some sort of way. He blocked the light from coming into the hollow of the tree, curling up in the darkness. He bit his tongue, to keep from making noises and give away his position. He didn't want to do that to anybody today at least. He shivered quietly in the darkness, waiting for his fear to go away.

The girl stopped a little ways away from the tree and looked around. For the first time, she could see without her red bangs obscuring her vision other than when she was running and, if someone looked, they could clearly see her enchanting gray-green eyes. The black eyeliner that had adorned the her eyes was slightly smudged, but somewhat fixed and her lipstick was still a deep maroon color. Overall, the make up she wore was very professionally put on and it made her look even more pale than she was. She continued walking, unsure if she should call out, but also unsure of what his name was.
Eventually, she yanked her hoodie off due to the heat and the burn in her arms, revealing the mass of self-inflicted wounds. Slumping down next to a tree near his, she let out a bothered sigh and leaned back, looking up at the sky. "Let's get away! 'Cause, baby, you know I wanna be free till September comes back again." she sang quietly. She reached into her pocket for her hoodie pocket for her razor, but found only fabric. She began digging further into it and checking her other pockets. "Where is it? I can't have lost it! I had it with me at the cliffs!" she panicked. Surely, her tormentors would have been shocked to find her talking so much, but it made sense that she didn't want to talk around them.

The boy heard her nearby, then he started to hear her panicking about something, then he caught the word razor. The boy pulled out a sharpie and wrote in elegant handwriting his name on the razor. He then proceeded to throw it out of the tree, in the direction of her voice, not wanting to come out of his tree yet, he wanted the darkness around him. The boy played with his hair, wanting to feel the complete loneliness, but the other girl was here. She started coming after him like a magnet it felt like.

The girl heard the little object land on the ground a little ways away and ran over to it, grabbing it. She sighed in relief as she noticed it as her razor and tucked the silver item back into her hoodie pocket. However, the writing caught her eye and she put it up near her face so she could read it, mumbling what it read out loud. Giving a small smile, she looked around the clearing and shrugged a bit, pulling the jacket back on. "Thanks, Peyton... Thanks a lot." she muttered, pretty sure she was talking to air again. Then, she took off at a sprint, her hair trailing behind her.

Peyton felt her presence disappear and sighed with relief, he was glad that she finally left, her presence here was making him quite nervous to say the least. He poked his head out of the tree and looked around at the surrounding area after quite some minutes, trying to see if anybody came walking by, or had found him in his hiding spot. He didn't want to go through he trouble of finding a secluded spot that somebody didn't know about if they found him in his regular spot. He saw that nobody was around and crawled out of the tree, letting the shadow covering disperse. He got up and stretched, feeling his back crack as he did so. Peyton groaned and rubbed his back a bit, going on a slow walk through the woods.

The unstable teen met with trouble again, but it was a different group of people. This time, it was a group of girls whom had to be the girlfriends of the guys that Peyton had messed up. Apparently, they thought that it was all the red-head's fault since she was the only person they had seen fleeing the scene. Of course, the accused girl spoke no words, but stood firm, not wanting to deny it to get Peyton in trouble. After all, he was the only kid she'd ever met who'd stood up for her, if you could call it that. Technically, she had stood up for him, but that was pretty quickly forgotten in this world. So, she took the hits, ending up on the ground, and spoke no denial to the girls whom just kicked her harder. Blood eventually began trickling out of the corner of her mouth and she coughed. The girls laughed in satisfaction and ran off again, feeling good that they'd avenged their boyfriends.

Peyton was observing the scene from a close by shadow, he watched wondering why she was getting beat up by those girls. But he threw a bottle of nectar at the other girl, disappearing before she could see him. He didn't like people seeing that he was helping others out secretly, they would start making fun of him even worse. They would tease him that he was so nice and that they should help them out more often before beating the living day lights out of him. He sighed and walked to his cabin, searching for his meds, which he was supposed to take every two hours. He could find them, he started searching frantically and still couldn't find them. He started panicking then, he needed his meds, he couldn't live without them.

Darken got onto her hands and knees, coughing out more blood. Her arms were visibly shaking under her weight and black spots were starting to obscure her vision. She heard the bottle clatter to the ground somewhere around her and looked towards it. Not wanting to be accused of being a demon, she took her time to get it, instead of jumping on it, and brought it up to her lips. She drank a little bit of it before her wounds began to feel better and blood stopped seeping out of the corner of her mouth. Darken looked around the clearing and sighed, seeing no one there again. "Why does he help me so much when he's already in the same amount of trouble I am?" she questioned the air. Standing up, she headed back to the camp, wondering how she was supposed to return the canteen, but stumbled on a bottle of medication, which she had almost crushed. Picking them up, her mind flashed back to the time when the blonde kid was telling her to get his meds and she took off at a sprint towards the Hermes cabin, figuring he'd be there. Of course, she came up with nothing so slipped throughout the cabins, staying in the shadows until she found him. She concealed herself in those shadows, so as not to be seen, and, once she found him, tossed the bottle of meds in front of him with the words "Thank you" scrawled on the cap.

Peyton was sitting behind his cabin, he had his head in his hands again, using his feet to rock himself back and forth. The head aches started again, he had already got to the point where the pain was blinding and he felt like his head was going to explode, all he could hear and feel again were the thrum of his head and the pain of his head. He didn't feel the bottle of medication roll to a stop after hitting his hip. Tears were soaking Peyton's cheeks and blood was seeping from his nose and out of the corner of his mouth a bit. His symptoms led to bleeding out of his face after he went too long without his medication.

Seeing no progress being made or even seeing him reach for the pills, the girl tackled him and force fed him the pills before diving back into the shadows and disappearing. She reappeared by the lake and sighed, hoping he didn't see it as aggression. She cursed in Greek multiple times and sat by the sand, putting her earbuds into her ears to listen to music. She sighed hugged her knees to her chest, wanting nothing more than to be alone and not bothered by the jerks that hated her.

The boy squealed when she tackled him and felt something being shoved into his mouth, then he realized it was his medication after laying on the ground curled in a ball for a few seconds and his headache started fading. By the time it started going away, guys had came to see what the squeal was, then realized that it was Peyton. They smirked and walking over to him, asking him what was wrong before kicking him in the head, gut, back. They pulled him up to his feet and started punching him in the face, in the gut more and so on. He fell to the ground in a bloody heap, not saying a word to give them the satisfaction.

Darken eventually headed back to camp, her music blasting in her ears, and looked around. Her hood was down, but no one made a move to jump her. It seemed they were all to absorbed in another kid, whom the girl easily guessed was her savior. She walked over to the group and watched from afar, her eyes wide and helpless as she watched the boy getting beaten up. That bravery she had felt earlier was nowhere to be found, but she knew she had to do something. After a second, she jumped into a shadow and then pulled Peyton in with her to get him out of their grasp, appearing somewhere in the forest. She looked at him and gave him the nectar canteen before taking off again.

Peyton was out cold by the time she pulled him into somewhere in the forest. He laid there, bleeding for about an hour before he woke up, bruised and bloody. He got up on wobbly legs and grabbed his canteen. Peyton then started limping the ways back to camp. He didn't care what happened to him, he really didn't. He had nobody left in his life and he wished the people killed him sometimes so he could see his mother one more time. Tears dripped from his eyes as pain shot through him and the pain of his mother being gone set in all at once. He took it, not wincing, just looked ahead, blank-faced and crying.

Darken saw Peyton walk back into the camp, still beaten up and got up to move to his aid. Her only friend, Rebellion, made an immediate move to stop her, but the younger teen pushed her off and ran over to him. She grabbed his wrist, gently and pulled him back into the forest before the bullies could spot him. "Sit." she ordered. Taking the nectar out of his hand, she unscrewed the cap and held it out to him. "Drink." she instructed. Another command. It made her wince as she didn't like the feeling of ordering someone what to do.
