Thalassa sat on the porch of the Big House, she had no idea what the hell she was doing here. She had never really known who her father was, but now she had been sent here, to this camp. She had been at school then, of course, she had been attacked by a monster. The Nemean Lion. Wow...Am I dreaming? she thought, Is this real? The Greek Gods? Or is someone playing a prank on me? If they are...then they are pretty good at it... She looked around the camp. She saw the cabins, the dining pavilion, the bonfire, everything. Her eyes kept landing on the ocean, which was just at the edge of her sight, it was her favorite place to be, besides maybe her home. She lived in Manhattan, she loved it there, with only her mother, no father, no siblings to 'share the love' with, her mother paid more attention to her then she did her job. Thalassa loved that. She loved it more than anything.
Thalassa didn't choose to be here. She was forced to come here by both her mother, and her boyfriend, who was here too, shocking enough. He said he was the son of Nike, the goddess of Victory. She was good at remembering the mythology of the gods and such, but names, not so much. She could remember, Zeus, the king. Hades, the lord of the Underworld. Poseidon, her father(But no one knows that yet), the ruler of the sea. Hera, Zeus's queen. Demeter, Hades' mother-in-law. And, Hestia, the gentlest, oldest, kindest, goddess of the Hearth and Home.
Thalassa saw her boy friend, Avel Kenridge, she walked over to him and gently tapped his shoulder.
Avel turned and looked at her. His bright green eyes almost looked like the stuff you put in glow-sticks to make them glow. "Hello, Thala..." he said to her, Thalassa hugged him. "Why are you making me be here? I don't like it..." she said, some tears ran down her cheeks. Avel wiped away her tears and sighed, "I know how much you don't want to be here...But...At this camp...at least you're safe..." he replied to her.
Thalassa looked at him, "I've been 'safe' my entire life! I don't need to be here!" she snapped at him. She shoved him away and ran off, as fast as she could, towards the beach. This is why she hated her life, not a single person, not even her own boyfriend understood her. Avel didn't go after her, he didn't care. He knew he would have messed up anyway. As in make her not want to be his girlfriend anymore.
I hate him... Thalassa thought, No matter what he does...I HATE HIM!
